What Is Image-to-PDF Conversion?

Converting images to PDF means packaging one or more image files into a single PDF document, where each image occupies its own page. PDF is a fixed-layout format, meaning the document looks identical regardless of the operating system, screen size, or application used to open it. This makes it a reliable choice for sharing visual content that needs to stay intact.

When Is Image-to-PDF Useful?

There are many practical situations where a multi-page PDF is more convenient than a folder of separate image files:

• Submitting scanned documents, forms, or receipts as a single file attachment
• Compiling a portfolio, photo report, or visual presentation
• Sending multiple screenshots or design mockups in one document
• Archiving handwritten notes or whiteboard photos
• Preparing image-based content for platforms that only accept PDF uploads

How This Tool Works

After uploading your images, you can manage each one individually before generating the final PDF. The tool provides several controls:

• Reorder: Drag the handle on any row to change the page sequence.
• Rotate: Click the rotate button to turn an individual image 90° clockwise before it is included in the PDF. This is useful for correcting landscape photos taken on a phone.
• Remove: Delete any image from the list without starting over.
• Page Size: Choose A4 (standard international), US Letter, or Fit to Image (each page matches the image's exact pixel dimensions).
• Orientation: Set pages to Portrait, Landscape, or Auto-Detect (matches each image's own proportions).
• Margin: Add 10mm, 20mm, or 30mm margins around the image on the page, or leave it margin-free.
• Quality: Choose High (100%), Medium (80%), or Low (60%) JPEG quality. Lower quality produces a smaller PDF file at the cost of some image sharpness.

All processing happens in your browser using the jsPDF library. No images or data are uploaded to any server.

Image Quality and PDF File Size

The resulting PDF size depends primarily on the number of images, their source resolution, and the Quality setting. High-resolution photos will naturally produce larger PDFs. If file size matters — for example, when attaching to an email — lowering the quality setting or compressing your images beforehand can help reduce it. The tool does not impose a limit on the number of images you can include.

Tips for Better Results

• Use the rotate button to correct any images that are sideways before generating the PDF.
• Check the page preview strip to confirm the order and orientation look correct before downloading.
• If you need a print-ready PDF, choose A4 or Letter and add a margin so the image does not bleed to the edge of the page.
• If you need the PDF to match the exact pixel dimensions of your images (useful for screenshots or UI mockups), choose Fit to Image as the page size.
